I want to wish all my NFBB friends a very Happy and Safe Thanksgiving.  And just to needle anyone who thinks that the Founders and original leaders wanted to keep religion out of government, here's something from George Washington:

Our nation’s first president issued a Proclamation of Thanksgiving on October 3, 1789, saying that the day is “to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many favors of Almighty God ... especially an opportunity to establish a form of government for our safety and happiness.”

In his proclamation, George Washington also asked Americans to pray for our government to be “a blessing to all the people by constantly being a government of wise, just, and constitutional laws.”
